I recommend the Canadian Smoke Meat from Montreal. Moe offer some great food imports, best items from including many local vendors.
The link for the flash mob is https://www.facebook.com/events/1845422169089564/ – could you please add it to the post above?
I’m horrified that a Newton store owner has to face such bigotry. His store is a valuable part of the Newton Highlands village center.
Moe has a great selection of craft beers too!
Mo is a gracious and compassionate man and a much better American than the stupid and ignorant clod that hurled the insult. I’ve reached the point where I have absolutely no tolerance for what they believe. In fact, I’ve come to totally despise them. They are trying to drag this country down into the gutter, but they are too stupid to even realize it. Mo, on the other hand, should know that he has a lot of friends in the Highlands and beyond and I’m certain he is being apprised of this fact. On to the 29th.
Nice to see the community support for Moe! Not to nitpick, but is it really a “flash” mob if it’s announced in advance?
I believe the proper term is cash mob.
Moe represents the American Dream, the immigrant who works hard and reaches out a helping hand to his community, who sends his two sons to college and is loyal to his family. Whoever flung those poisonous words at Moe should look in the mirror to contemplate the evil reflected in his own soul. If, indeed, he has a soul.
Kudos to Andy Levin and the TAB for a detailed and passionate lead story on Moe Khalaj and what he has had to endure since setting up shop in Newton Highlands. Newton Highlands village square is one of the last places I would have thought these incidents would take place, but then you never know. On to the 29th.
I just saw on FB that the Mayor will be there.
That was my thought too Bob. Newton Highlands? Of all places… But there are jerks everywhere I suppose.
My thought, too. I wonder if it’s mostly people who work or shop in the Highlands but don’t live there.
What is particularly surprising about it happening in Newton Highlands? Would you be less surprised if it was another village?
I don’t know the other villages as well as I know the Highlands, so I can’t speak for them, plus that’s where this happened. No other reasons for specifying Newton Highlands.
