Saturday, December 2
- Holiday Craft Show: 10AM-5PM, at Newton Cultural Center (Newton City Hall, 1000 Commonwealth Avenue, Newton Center). Juried show of original works by artisans of New England, craft pieces, delicious treats
- FUUSN Holiday Fair: 9:30AM-3PM, at First Unitarian Universalist Society in Newton (1326 Washington St., West Newton). Treasures new and old, hand-made knits, toys, jewelry, collectibles, baked goods, books, wreaths, trees, oraments, etc. Lunch, music, and a silent auction.
- Second Church Holiday Traditions Social (see page 5): 2PM-4PM, Second Church (60 Highland Street, West Newton). Baked goods, baskets, art, collectibles, kitchen gadgets, electronics, and more.
Sunday, December 3
- Celebrate Newton Holiday Crafts Fair: 10AM-4PM, at Newton South HS (140 Brandeis Rd, Newton Centre). Admission $3 (kids under 12 free). Proceeds fund financial-need scholarships for Newton Community Education. Juried craft fair, over 50 local artists, live music, food, kids corner.

The following Saturday, Dec 9, is the Arts Stroll & Shop in West Newton. The day long event will feature pop up performances in and around the square in support of the local businesses in West Newton. Newton Cultural Alliance started the event in 2011 in Newton Centre but this year its in West Newton
Green Newton has added a local holiday shopping opportunity to this Saturday’s Arts Stroll & Shop event. A Sustainable Holiday Pop-Up Shop will be hosted by Marcia Cooper and Jeff Rosenberg at 170 Evelyn Road in Waban this Saturday, December 9th, from 10 am – 4 pm, with a percent of all sales donated to Green Newton.
