Kudos to Andrea Kelly for an excellent campaign and for winning her first race for public office. I am thrilled that she will succeed me as the progressive councilor from Ward 3. Newton and Ward 3 will be in good hands with Andrea Kelley.
Congratulations to Andrea for a well run ambitious campaign, and to Julia Malakie, a key member of the community, for entering the race and keeping the focus on real issues affecting our day to day quality of life.
In my short tenure I have witnessed two giants of the community move on with the passing of Sal, and the retirement of Ted. The community owes these two a huge thank you as they may never know the full impact of their dedicated service.
As the now senior member, in just 2 terms, of the Ward 3 Councilors, my goal is that we continue their awesome commitment to community service.
