Thanks to the Area Councils for creating this forum for the city’s at-large races and the charter.
Thanks for the links, Jack! If I were more tech savvy, I would have inserted links myself. Sorry.
Thanks. The Four Area Council did a great job. Some great questions. Plus, it was nice to let candidates ask their competitors questions.
Housekeeping note: I’ve removed several comments from this thread by Jack Prior and others that provided some hyperlinks to the various segments. Jack thanks for your help. Sallee thanks for sharing these and to Chris Pitts for creating them. Now let’s talk about what we’ve heard and seen in this jam-packed presentation.
Just to be clear Greg, with my permission, you removed several and edited one — you really need to remove that feature :-). Two more links to add would the closing statements by Rhanna (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XZswnH3cEZg&feature=youtu.be&t=2h21m37s) and Marc (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XZswnH3cEZg&feature=youtu.be&t=2h26m2s)
For people who care about high school start times, at 1:05:40, Cyrus Vaghar asks Margaret Albright, “Because you believe in later start times, will you join me in pledging to not to run in two years’ time if you are unable accomplish them?” Albright’s answer, “no.”
Some people think, “This time it will be different. This time the school committee will move on late start times. ” Take heed. Margaret’s confidence is telling.
