Last night my spouse and I set out for a light dinner, deciding to go to Mick Morgan’s, the Irish pub on Needham Street. Our jaws dropped as we pulled into the parking lot to see that it was closed. I don’t mean closed for the night, I mean forever closed. With two dumpsters in front and a sign saying offices to be available! What’s the skinny? @Greg: do you know what’s cooking there? We ate there often…it was always crowded and they had great corned beef and cabbage, which we ate this past St. Patrick’s Day (and at other times, too!).

Another Newton Center business bites the dust. It was a long slow death but Murray’s on Beacon Street is closing. The sales clerk said “moving” but the shelf are bare and she had no details about where they are “moving”
