This Sunday at 2 PM, if you’re not hunting for Easter eggs, join the Newton Conservators on a wonderful 5 mile hike of the Newton aqueducts.

Newton is bisected by two major aqueducts that form a triangle.  The Cochituate Aqueduct (pronounced ‘koch-i-twa’-tee) comes in from Wellesley near Rt 16, runs through Waban Square, Cold Spring Park, past Whole Foods on Beacon St (and continues on).  The Sudbury aqueduct runs from Whole Foods to Echo Bridge in Upper Falls.

Henry Finch (617-964-4488) from the Newton Conservators will be leading the walk starting at Starbuck in Waban Square at 2 PM.  If you’ve never been, its a wonderful hike that will give you a completely different view of Newton.  I highly recommend it and it sounds like Sunday should be a great day for it.
