Boston had Billy Bulger but we have Seana Gaherin.
Seana is hosting a St Patrick’s Day Newton Irish political breakfast this Friday morning at 7:30 – 8:30 AM at Dunn Gaherins Pub in Upper Falls. She’s inviting all of our candidates, City Councillors, State Reps and various other elected officials and hopefuls.
You the public are also welcome to join in the fun. Seana particularly wanted to extend the invitation to Village 14 regulars since you are some of the most politically active folks in the city.
She’ll be serving coffee, tea and Irish bread and we’ll be having lots of good fun with our political folks. V14’s own Greg Reibman will be the master of ceremonies and we’ll be roping lots of folks into the fun.
If you are one of Newton’s elected officials, stay away at your own risk. Those not in attendance will clearly be oh-so-tempting targets for all the speakers.
If you’d like to join in this free event, RSVP to [email protected] and we’ll see you there on Friday morning
Sounds fun, see you there!
Great idea!
I am beyond disappointed that I will not be able to attend!
Will somebody video it? Please?
The guest list is shaping up nicely. We’ll have people from end to end of Newton politics – state reps, mayoral candidates, city councilors, school committee, charter council, area councils and the general public. Can’t wait.
Going to be a great time!
Looking forward to some morning belly laughs!
(Hope the coffee is strong!)
Delightful idea…I just ate dinner there tonight! See ya there!
I love this! Plan to attend.
I love this idea! I have to be at work in Longwood area by 9 am – but I will try to stop by 7:30-8! Greg
Man o man, From the emails, phone calls it’s clear that Dunn Gaherins is going to be filled to the rafters with Newton’s elected officials tomorrow morning.
@Jerry: Like lambs to the slaughter, if your jokes are any good. 😀
Really looking forward to this, and hoping it will become another regular Newton tradition. Have to take my son to school, but will be there 7:30-8 for certain!
@Chris Steele
>>> hoping it will become another regular Newton tradition
That’s why it’s called the “first annual” 😉
Oh so sorry to miss out. Sounds like great fun. Not sorry I’m in Key West. Have fun. Video if possible.
Packed house SRO, graced by the wit revealing the 3rd serious mayoral candidate. The place to be for armchair insider political hubub. Looking forward to next year’s venue with a larger crowd capacitance.
What a great way to start St. Patrick’s Day morning. Many thanks to all our very funny political folks who carved time out of their schedules with only 48 hours notice. We’re hoping to begin the planning next year a bit earlier. Seana swears we’ll start at least 72 hours before the event next year.
Special shutout to the mayor (“it’s great to be here in Fall River”) for his last minute appearance
