Waban’s Family Fun Run kicks off at 10 AM this Sunday. The 3.1 mile event is open to everyone but kids can ride bikes or scooters t00. Registration at 9 AM in Waban Square.
After the Fun Run, Waban Village Day kicks off for an all day celebration Sunday afternoon in Waban Square with music, dancing, food, crafts, ice cream and fun.
And after Waban Village Day, residents can move over to Newtonville and Nonantum to watch the Memorial Day parade that kicks off at 300 p.m. at Newton North, goes up Walnut Street over the Pike, turns right onto Watertown Street, and wraps up at Coletti-Magnit Park in the heart of Nonantum. Congratulations to whoever had the good sense to eliminate the past conflict between
the two events.
