Nothings succeeds like excess.
Thanks to all the Village14 fools that buried this site with enough fake news to last a year.
A special shut out to Sallee Lipshutz for her voluminous contributions. In case you missed it she also had a good one over on NewtonForums.
The Fool of the Year award though definitely goes to Greg Reibman for firing John Rice with Trumps help. We’ve reached a new milestone when the Globe, Herald, and Channel 7 are trying to get in on our April Fools stories.
FUN!FUN!FUN!

Did all the V14 correspondents call in sick to work yesterday? It was a great day, thank for many laughs.

For the first time, this year, we started planning for it a week ahead of time. Many of the stories were all written, uploaded and scheduled to be published ahead of time.
Still and all, I can’t say my work day yesterday set any records for productivity.

Enjoyed it all very much. As we all know, Newton takes itself very seriously. The rest of the world laughs at us, it’s nice we could join in.

I was at a party last night in the Highlands and was surprised to hear from several people who knew about the Rice/Trump story AND knew it was an April Fools joke but didn’t read about it on Village 14.
Meanwhile, Friday’s traffic to Village 14 was the second highest of this year. The highest was March 2, the day after the Sweet Tomatoes crash.

Greg: Thank you for your statistical perspective. For those of us who frequent and lurk in the threaded chambers of the Village 14 labyrinth, it would be interesting to know just how many readers and writers visit here each month and what the distribution of visits is over the year…
(Also, has anyone ever found a way out? What about Minotaurs? Mini-tours?)
