Having launched more than my share of websites, I’m well aware that not everything goes as well as hoped upon launch.
It’s been two weeks and a day now since the debut of the City of Newton’s new website and while two weeks is still very new for a site, it’s certainly within the time frame when it can be useful to provide constructive feedback.
So let’s pretend the folks that designed the site are taking a break from coding and reading this. (Everyone at City Hall reads Village 14 on their lunch breaks, right?) What constructive criticism would you offer? What do you like? What’s missing? And what needs improvement?

The city website does not work on Google Chrome for me but works fine on Firefox, Explorer and Edge. I have the same problem with the city’s online web application for email. I have never quite figured out why. Anyone know how to adjust the settings on Chrome?
@Ted: I have no problem navigating the city website using Chrome. I don’t know what settings you would need to adjust though.
I think the site looks great and I find it accessible and intuitive.

What is up with the Community Events links??? Why aren’t they up to date? And when I try to go back I get an error message (in Chrome).
