Eleanor worked for the city of Newton in the Board of Aldermen’s office and in Elections. But, before that, I knew her way back when she was a teenager working at Mac’s Smoke Shop in Newton Corner. She loved to dress up for Halloween (and sometimes just for the fun of it) and always had a smile, a joke, and an occasional treat for my sons. Eleanor was very much part of the fabric of the community. RIP.
