Last week the City Councillors were sworn in for their new term.   Tonight at City Hall the four neighborhood Area Councils (Newton Highlands, Waban, Newtonville, and Upper Falls) were sworn in by the mayor.

The mayor mentioned at the ceremony that John Rice has been speaking with residents of both Auburndale and Newton Corner about the possibility of setting up an Area Council in those villages, so there may some more Area Councils in the works.
