It was nice (and flattering) to see this reminder about the mayor’s food drive in Sunday’s Globe.

    Remember that a lot of food pantries find monetary donations more helpful than food – they can often leverage it many-fold in value – so if you can’t make it to a drop-off location please send a check.

    Also, little luxuries can be greatly appreciated. For example, a box of cake mix allows a mother to make a treat for her kids.
