It goes without saying that we’ll see at least some flooding today. By 7am the rain was already a deluge. This is an image I took this morning of Cheesecake Brook near Albemarle field while dropping my kids off at Day Middle School. Keep in mind that this is where the buses tend to line up in the afternoon.

Rt 9 – westbound – just before 128 was also flooded this morning
Seem to recall the lower level of Horace Mann getting flooded a couple of times when Cheesecake Brook swelled from excessive rain — not much significant damage, thankfully, at least I don’t think so.
And didn’t someone’s car actually get pulled into Cheesecake once when it crested onto Albemarle Road?
Glad that the Angier basement classrooms are a thing of the past! Today would have been one of the days that the sump pump hose would go through the fourth grade classroom to keep the gym dry.
@essteess, yes someone did try to drive through a flooded portion of the road once in front of Gath Pool and their car was carried away on the current and crashed into the bridge at Crafts Street.
