It looks like Village14 blogger Gail Spector’s compilation of Newton’s notable citizens must be nearly done. Arcadia Publishing’s web site has got a cover and a blurb for it. Looks like it’s due in the stores in April.

Jerry –
How do you beat me to this stuff? I only discovered yesterday that it was listed on Amazon!
The publication date is April 13. I expect to have more information about book signings in the next month or so.
In the meantime, feel free to figure out who is on the cover. There are nine legends represented.
Congrats to Gail!
I’d love to see the table of contents.
Congratulations Gail!! I can’t wait to read it!
Congratulations, Gail! I see Tenley Albright (one of my childhood heroes) is on the cover.
Jim Koch, Ted Williams, Shirley Lewis, Tenley Albright, mgwa, Fignewtonville and Kim, right?
Wow! Excited for the Author’s signing parties! Open bar on Gail!!!!!!!!
This is so way cool!
Is that Tenley Albright on the cover of the book?
Alison,
Yes, it is Tenley Albright.
Thanks Gail for answering that. We have a lot of actors and actresses who hail from Newton such as Matt LeBlanc, Louis CK, Kathryn Erbe, Marin Hinkle , Joe Rogan and even the late Jack Lemmon was born at NWH and lived his early years in Newton!
I’m not familiar with all of the names you mentioned Alison, but a couple of them are in the book!
Marin Hinkle plays Judith on Two and a Half Men plus she is in other tv shows. Kathryn Erbe is the lead in the show CSI . Joe Rogan was on News Radio with the late Phil Hartman and he was the host of Fear Factor and he lived in Newton Upper Falls. Sam Mettler is also from Newton and he is the Emmy winning producer and creator of the television show a Intervention.
Forgot about John Krasinski and BJ Novak who are also from Newton. Both were in The Office with Steve Carrell and moved on to film careers!
Jon Fisch – Comedian – Grew up in Newton and went to NSHS
