Former (and perhaps this suggests, not future) Red Sox pitcher Jon Lester’s house at 7 Bernard Street (down by the banks of the river Charles) is listed for $1.85 million. It has four five bedrooms, five four bathrooms, a wine cellar, and workshop, Newton Patch reports.m
“Great bones!”
So says the structural engineer of this property.
Should say: 5 bedrooms, 4 baths (And some sort of boat/swim platform on the Charles)
@Steve: Impressive.
Clearly Lester did not employ the Fenway groundskeeper to maintain the outfield.
Will the house go back on the market next season after trading owners?
Too late – there is an accepted offer on the property according to MLSPIN!
Maybe he heard about the 40B proposed for Goddard St a few blocks away (mentioned in another thread) and decided to get out of the neighborhood now. Based on Julia Malakie’s numbers (in yet another thread), this 23,000 sq ft property could take 16 condos.
Right now he’s shutting out the Dodgers through 5 innings in Game 3 of the NLDS. Beating the Dodgers is a service to humanity.
Bruce you’re confusing Lester with Lackey.
And no the 40B wasn’t why Lackey or Lester “decided” to “get out.”
Ouch- I did mix up Lester and Lackey – I failed at multi-tasking while watching the game.
Postings here inform me that 40Bs are one of several things that will End Newton As We Know It and this is just a few blocks from a proposed 40B.
