Looking for something fun to do with your kids between school and camp? Some of Newton’s favorite kid-friendly businesses and organizations have organized an End-of-School Treasure Hunt, June 20th – June 30th. Kids ages 3 – 12 are invited to start at Green Planet Kids, 22 Lincoln St. in Newton Highlands, where they pick up a Treasure Map & Clues and the kids select their first Treasure. Solve the clues, search the map, and travel around the city at your own pace, collecting free goodies!

Giveaways include free pizza, stickers, ice cream, shoelaces, cupcakes, tacos, little toys, cookies, bookmarks, candy, bike bells… even a toothbrush kit! Other participating businesses and organizations include: Bread & Chocolate, Indulge, Rox Cafe, Village Kids, Newton Pediatric Dentistry, International Bicycle, Rosie’s Bakery, Tango Mango, Sweet Tomatoes, The Barn, Cabot’s, Newton Free Library, and the Boys & Girls Club of Newton. Encourage your child to bring in some schoolwork – an essay, math test, report card, art project, or anything else they’re proud of. Great for their self-esteem!

What a great way to celebrate the end of another school year, and teach your children how local independent businesses and organizations make up the fabric of our community!  Visit  www.lifeinnewton.com for more details.
