Real smart to vandalize a car and video tape it.
@TheWholeTruth – Pssst. It’s not real. It’s a joke.
Hey whole truth, bet you were laughing while you typed,I know I was.
Thanks for the “edgy” video Chris Murphy.
Sorry, I missed the humor.
Classis Chris humor. A great guy!
TWT, you are not the only one on this blog that was unaware of Chris’ humor. At one point during the video I did ask myself if we had jumped ahead to April Fool’s Day. But the abrupt end to the video left me confused about any intended humor.
I think ,.. maybe there was an attempt at humor,.. but I’m not sure. If it was my car whose wipers were glued up I’d be really PO’d,.. and good luck to the vandal if he were to be caught in the act. What is the point of raising the wipers off the windshield when it’s snowing? Why wear a Red Sox jersey in the winter time? Where was the guy trying to go with snow on his windshield? Why am I bothering to waste any time even commenting on a person walking backwards in a snow storm ? Why blather about how cars were parked ? Happy Thanksgiving ! I wish I was smart. Does the glue work in freezing weather? How can we keep this thread alive by not contributing to it? Where is the groundhog, I’m hungry ?
@Blueprintbill. Spoiler alert. He didn’t do it. It is a pretend scenario.
I’ve found you do have to be careful with humor in Newton. Jerry and I have gotten ourselves in trouble for some of it in the past even though it was always in good taste.
Ok, yes I missed the fact that this was meant to be a joke. However, if someone who saw this decided to try it out on some unsuspecting person, it would then not be very funny at all. One never knows who sees these things so please be careful about how others may interpret something and potentially try it themselves.
@TheWholeTruth – Not to worry. The entire readership of Village14 (myself excluded) is known to be uniformly serious, respectable, responsible adults who would never do such a thing.
Jerry, it appears the video is accessed through youtube so who knows who will see the video, and get an idea. I still do not find the humor in this. I think Chris should take the video off youtube.
… but please leave this one up there.
Youtube shouldn’t have any material which might be satirical, misleading or irresponsible… neither should the rest of the Internet. Let’s start a campaign to review every web page and video!
Just think, though, if it wasn’t for YouTube and all those silly cat videos, the internet never would have caught on. Then we’d be back to just 13 Villages.

Hoss, you’re correct. Silly is such a limiting word. I should have been more inclusive. Foolish, stupid, unintelligent, idiotic, brainless, mindless, witless, imbecilic, doltish, imprudent, thoughtless, rash, reckless, foolhardy, irresponsible, mad, scatterbrained, featherbrained; frivolous, giddy, vacuous, inane, immature, childish, puerile, empty-headed, crazy, dotty, scatty, loopy, wingy, ditzy, screwy, thick, thickheaded, birdbrained, pea-brained, dopey, dim, dimwitted, halfwitted, dippy, blockheaded, boneheaded, lamebrained; daft, chowderheaded. More?
P.S. I was disappointed that the dead-cat-bounce competition didn’t make it to Sochi this year.
At a press conference this morning, at their world headquarters, a spokesman for Murphy Film Productions released the following statement:
“No windshield wipers were harmed in the making of this movie. As a responsible member of the community, Mr Murphy would never encourage or promote vandalism … except in your imagination.
To those viewers who failed to see the humor in the film, we’re confident that the next scheduled Murphy Film release, ‘Silencing Your Neighbor’s Car Alarm’ is sure to hit your funny bone.”
