ChestnuHill | Newton MA News and Politics BlogHundreds of people have signed up to ride in next Sunday’s (Oct 6) first annual Tour de Newton.   Each rider will  begin/end the 13 village fun ride in their own village and collect a Tour de Newton badge in each village along the way.

Inexplicably we only have two riders signed up so far from Chestnut Hill.  Also we’re still looking for a Chestnut Hill volunteer or two to be village greeters and welcome the 13 groups of riders to Chestnut Hill.  Here’s the free sign up for the Tour de Newton and if you’d like to volunteer in Chestnut Hill (or any other village) contact [email protected].

It will be a fun ride at a leisurely pace – suitable for adults, kids, casual and serious riders alike.  Each leg of the loop is just a few miles with a stop at the next village.  You can ride the whole circuit or just a portion if you like.

This is a great opportunity to see the whole city including corners that you may never, or rarely get to and learn a bit about each village along the way.

Join mayor Setti Warren, your village neighbors, and riders from across the city for the first annual Tour de Newton ride.  Sign up today for this free fun ride.

The complementary Tour de Newton T-shirt for this inaugural ride is destined to become a collector’s item in years to come.
