Hundreds of people have signed up to ride in next Sunday’s (Oct 6) first annual Tour de Newton. Each rider will begin/end the 13 village fun ride in their own village and collect a Tour de Newton badge in each village along the way.
Inexplicably we only have two riders signed up so far from Chestnut Hill. Also we’re still looking for a Chestnut Hill volunteer or two to be village greeters and welcome the 13 groups of riders to Chestnut Hill. It will be a fun ride at a leisurely pace – suitable for adults, kids, casual and serious riders alike. Each leg of the loop is just a few miles with a stop at the next village. You can ride the whole circuit or just a portion if you like.
This is a great opportunity to see the whole city including corners that you may never, or rarely get to and learn a bit about each village along the way.

An ambiguous locality spanning two of Boston’s neighborhoods (Brighton/WRox), Newton and Brookline, and three counties no less, there is quite an identity crisis with this area. Fascinating, though.
