The Newton Community Chorus and orchestra under the direction of conductor Richard Travers welcome you to a moving performance of Dvorak’s Stabat Mater. The program features organist Monique Weiss Byrnes and soloists Sol Kim Bentley, Emily Jaworski, Ethan Bremner and Miles Rind.

Family Art Together Sundays- Wearable Art Workshop
New Art Center*
Sunday, January 27 at 1pm | $10

This is a fun, interactive workshop for children and adults to enjoy together. This workshop will inspire you to create a one-of-a-kind costume with a touch of contemporary art! The artist will supply materials, video art, and some novel ideas to help inspire your own wearable art. We’ll conclude with a Fashion Show. Children must be accompanied by an adult. All activities are recommended for children ages 6 and up. Registration is encouraged, drop-ins also welcome.

The New Phil is going to Italy for a colorful, musical adventure through Respighi’s Pines of Rome to hear The Birds! The orchestra musicians show off their fun sides during this interactive, family-friendly performance that features outstanding special guests from the Suzuki School of Newton. Bring the whole family to create a musical memory! Each child will receive a musical goodie bag. Tickets are available in advance at www.newphil.org or at the door.
