Thank goodness I use Newton Highlands’ post office or I might have missed this completely! Hyde Community Center along with Newton Highlands Area Council present Summer in the Highlands a series of free Friday night concerts and movies. The full schedule of acts and movies is here.
Rock on, Highlands.
Any other Newton free summer series besides this one and Newton Pride’s?
It isn’t a series but the Friends of Hemlock Gorge will host our annual picnic/concert at the meadow in front of the bulletin Board across the Charles River from the Mill Falls complex on Elliot Street in Upper Falls on Tuesday August 7 from 5:00 p.m. to dusk. Picnickers should bring their own food, drink, blankets and chairs. A grill and music will be provided. Copies of “Makers of the Mold” –Ken Newcomb’s history of Newton Upper Falls will be available.
