The Friends of Hemlock Gorge spring clean up will be held this Saturday morning, April 21, with volunteers meeting any time from 9-10 AM in the parking lot on Hamilton Place, just over the Needham side of the river, off Elliot St. Refreshments will be provided after the cleanup and the Stone Barn will be open.
Last year’s spring cleanup inspired this guest column in the Tab by Bob Burke, a longtime Friend of Hemlock Gorge.
I missed last year’s clean up but have done this twice before and look forward to going the group tomorrow.
Oops, just fixed the link to Bob’s column.
I’ll see you there Greg, I’ll be joining the party this year. I’m looking forward to seeing what’s inside the somewhat mysterious Stone Barn … though I suspect there’s nothing.
Jerry: There isn’t much inside, but the architecture is worth price of picking up trash for a few hours. Oh yeah, you get lunch too.
…oh and two years ago, I found a $20 bill while picking up trash along East Quinobequin!
