The TAB sums it up well:
By denying Star Market this license, the commissioners have thwarted competition and denied shoppers a choice. How is that serving the public interest?
I’d add that the Liquor Commission’s action amounts to a tax on anybody who would have bought beer or wine at Star Market because it was cheaper or more convenient.
