A Globe list of sports-related head injuries (story here)reports 1960 23 head injuries at Newton North but no data for Newton South. (A 2012 Globe reports listed South as having the largest number of fall sports head injuries in the state. Related Village 14 post here.)
Also, does anyone know why only some schools report middle school injuries?
The table reports 23 injuries, not 1960! 1960 is the reported enrollment. Perhaps remedial education on reading tables is in order?

Inconsistent Middle School reporting could be for several reasons, one of them is the varying level of organization of middle school sports (this is more a guess than anything else). Newton’s middle school teams are pretty organized though- so maybe there is also a lack of reporting requirements vs high schools?
Why Newton South’s data is not included on the Globe’s list is probably a question for the Globe. South always reports that info.
