I didn’t believe this at first when Village 14 contributor Kim broke the news about this on his Facebook page earlier yesterday but apparently it’s true.
A 17-year-old male was walking to school shortly after 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday when a deer came out of a swampy area off the road and ran him over, according to police spokesman Lt. Bruce Apotheker.

I deersay that keeping an eye out is a good idear. You can’t just walk around doe-eyed and not pay attention. Meanwhile, I hope the student is able to buck up and carry on, and I hope no one else gets pelted by distracted cervids, however endeering they might be.

Looking at how they judged those schools, that list isn’t anything I’d take seriously. But it is always a good idea to question how we can make the schools better. But rankings are worthless.
