You are all invited to join us for Village 14’s one year birthday party this Wed (Dec 12) starting at 7:30 PM at Mick Morgan’s on Needham St. Come on down and put a face to all those comments and posts. Like the blog, you’re welcome to share your identity or maintain your mystery, as you see fit.
If you’re in a blogging mood, we’ll also be collecting “What I want for Newton” birthday wishes from all willing participants. This is your chance to post to the blog on any topic near and dear to you, rather than just commenting on our posts. Write up your blog post of “What I want for Newton” and bring it to the party.
If you’d rather talk than write, the new Village14 mobile video studio will be on site to record your birthday wishes. After the party we’ll post all your birthday wishes for the city on Village 14.
I miss too many blogger meetings due to travel. Damn!
Sorry we’ll miss you Kim … you can send us your “Birthday Wish for Newton” anyway (text or video to [email protected])
I am in the thick of helping my son get his college applications done, so sadly I will miss this too- even though it is right across the street from my apartment! If Max gets things done more quickly than anticipated, or if I decide Mommy needs a time out, though, I will pop over 🙂
We here at Village 14 believe “Mommy needs a time out.”
Good luck on the college apps. When I was in your shoes, I sure could have used a drink with friends!
Wendy – I hope we see you, even for a short time. Good luck!
Also, I think it would be great if we could get the Chanukah Hummer there to provide safe rides home.
Great idea Greg! And you are in the perfect position to make it happen, I would think.
I was planning to attend but have to bow out – was at the ER until almost 6 a.m. with my son (he’s fine) and therefore not in any shape to go anywhere or do anything. Hopefully I’ll make it to the 2nd birthday party.
The very notion of a Chanukah Hummer is repugnant.
How about some wonderful Newton Blogging person simply volunteer as a Designated Driver, and you can actually have a Designated Driver sign-up sheet so that when anyone arriving knows they will need a ride home they can sign up, including the address they need a ride back to, when they arrive at the event.
That way, everyone will know by say 9:00 pm who will need a ride home, where to, and who is available to give them that ride.
Without burning a gallon of gas per 8 miles in a militaristic tank to do it.
I’m at the bar now. You will know me ’cause I got the Village 14 blog up on my big laptop on the bar.
Where is everyone.
Oh…
It’s only 7:00 pm
‘Come on Greg!
Jeesh…. I had to approve my own comment!
