This Thursday Better Life Food is kicking off the first in a series of Farmers Market style pop-ups featuring PIES!!!!
Christopher Osborn from Better Life Food came up with the idea and Seana Gaherin at Dunn Gaherins generously donated her parking lot and brand new tent as the venue and they’ve recruited some other local businesses.
This first one runs this Thursday Nov 5 from 10 AM – 3 PM in the Dunn Gaherins tent, 344 Elliot St, Upper Falls. They’ll run for the next four weeks on Thurs Nov 5, Thurs Nov 12, Thurs Nov 19, Wed Nov 25
Better Life Food will be selling a whole range of pies and assorted other delicious baked goods – buy them either ready-to-go, or ready-to-bake (frozen). I definitely have my eye on one of his Cranberry Walnut pies. Stop by for some delicious treats on Thursday and support our local businesses. Better Life Food and Dunn Gaherins are both huge community supporters that host the Feast of the Falls extravaganza every year as well as countless other community minded activities throughout the year.
Also on hand to sell their wares …

Thanks Jerry! Shame it is not open a bit later so my wife might be able to hit up up coming home from work in Needham on the 59. But going to check out that pet food franchise for sure!
Three items:
1) When it comes to pies, my mom’s crustless pumpkin pie is unbeatable, but I intend to give Better Life Food’s a shot on my way over to Walnut Market for tomorrow’s shipment of fresh St-Viateur bagels from Montreal.
2) When it comes to Needham-Newton connectivity, the 59 bus is terrific (especially my coveted row of five seats at the back), but so is walking.
3) When it comes to the Magic Wall, nobody beats Dorchester native John King of CNN. For schadenfreude purposes, I flipped to Fox News for a few minutes, and they’ve also bought a Magic Wall which they’ve assigned to some bumbling idiot who in typical Republican fashion didn’t even know what state he was pointing at, let alone the key county demographics, which King has clearly mastered. Great job, John King!
…and well done, Better Life Food! My chocolate-pecan pie was still warm when I got home. Wowza; crazy good.
Chapeau to Mother Nature as well, for a glorious 72° New England autumn afternoon – perfect for a walk.
I arrived home this evening to a Better Life cranberry-walnut pie waiting for me – mmmm
Will this always be from 10-3 on Thursdays?
Thanks for the plug Jerry and all the fun stuff you do for The Upper Falls!
It was nice to meet some new neighbors last Thursday!
