On page 20 of the budget, I don’t understand how they can project a decrease in 7 FTEs of elementary school teachers given a decrease of 113 students (about 2%). Those student reductions will be spread throughout many schools, not concentrated in just a few. How, then, do you eliminate entire classrooms and their associated teachers?
Likewise, the expected reduction of one elementary school specialist teacher to correspond to the reduction in classrooms also seems problematic.
Maybe someone can give an explanation of this before the meeting.
