As I was walking down Lincoln Street in Newton Highlands, looking at the Halloween window paintings, I saw this one that may be summarizing a neighborhood longing for our new restaurant offering. This painting, by an eighth grader, was in one of the windows of the future Anna’s Taqueria. Progress has been slow going but visible now with the brown paper down and boxes of furniture showing up in the space. I hope the wait is not too much longer and this patient patron finally gets a burritos.
Anna’s has already shown itself a good addition to the community, between helping fund Village Day and participating in the Halloween painting (one of my favorite things about Newton). Today was a beautiful day to watch the painters and the youngsters trick-or-treating the Highlands stores.
