The Newton Cultural Alliance is opening the doors of the historic Nathaniel Allen House in West Newton this Saturday, Oct 26 from 6pm-8pm. Come see it for yourself!
NCA acquired the Allen House about a year ago and has since been developing plans and passing muster. Most recently the house had been turned into many apartments and hasn’t been open to the public in decades. The house is an important piece of history and the NCA is inviting everyone in to learn more about its past and future place in our community!
Of course it being the season of all things pumpkins and cobwebs, we couldn’t resist the temptation to Halloween theme the Open House! See the invitation below and come join us on Saturday! I’ll be the one in the witch’s hat.
From the photo it looks like a suitable home for ghosts, goblins, and witches named Kara.
I have a book signed by Warren Watts who attended or taught at the school – probably early 1900’s. He than entered the Army. Any info on him available?
