The weather’s supposed to be beautiful this weekend – perfect for for sitting outside with a cold refreshing beverage and catching up with an old friend. What would be your favorite place to do that in Newton?

Tatte and I’d have a chocolate snail, too. Or one of the places in Newtonville and enjoy the plaza.
Budget/kid-friendly option: beverage (and Hostess pastry) to go from the 7-11 on Winchester and Dedham st, then sit outside at Newton Highlands playground.
So many options.
Galit’s Israeli Iced Coffee and a walk around Newton Center is really nice.
Tatte’s iced coffee with halva is delicious too.
No contest: Little L Bakery (139 California St) and then walk down Jasset St to Stearns Park.
Fantastic Lattes and cappuccino drinks, croissants, and the Blueberry danishes are to die for (it looks like they also have a seasonal peach danish!)
For a taste of real Parisian croissants, I recommend Lakon Paris in Newton Highlands. Baked on site, each light and flaky masterpiece is three days in the making. Great coffee and desserts too. Come early to beat the line. They tend to sell out by noon.
