After a long Covid absence, we’re bringing The Nomad Story Slam back this Saturday and holding it for the first time at the beautiful historic Nathaniel Allen House in West Newton.
The Nomad Story Slam is a great night of true stories, modeled on the Moth Radio Hour. Anyone can throw their name in the hat to tell a five minute true story. Come and tell a story yourself or just listen to other’s stories.
The theme of the night is “bouncing back” – bouncing back from anything, a crazy event, a relationship, a pandemic, a bungee cord. Tell us your bouncing-back story
Tickets are limited (75), they are going quickly, and it is likely to sell out. If you plan on attending be sure to buy your tickets soon

What a treat last night! I must say I was a little apprehensive of stories on a “Bouncing back” theme; I was afraid we would get recovery from cancer or death of a child stories: uplifting but bringing more sadness into this sad world.
Most stories were very funny and well told. The best were told by Reillys; what’s new? Especially the mystery told by Jerry’s brother; maybe someone from the audience will solve it.
Kudos also for the covid precautions that made the show safe for everybody. Personally, with a husband with comorbidity, I am waiting to see the numbers after Spring Break before I put my mask away.
