NewTV is Newton’s public access cable TV station. Individuals can become members for $25/years and that membership entitles you to take any of their classes that cover all aspects of video production. It also entitles you to use all of their equipment.
Unlike many town’s stations, NewTV is a state of the art facility with great equipment and studios. If you want to learn the basics of video production there is no better way that doing it hands-on at NewTV.
Even if you’re not a video head, you should consider becoming a NewTV member to help support all of the important community work they do. NewTV produces the weekly Newton News show, they record and broadcast large numbers of public meetings, they host political debates for our elections, and they produce hours and hours of local programming every week on every conceivable topic.
