Newton is throwing a party this weekend and you’re invited.
Sat Feb 12: 5:30 – 8 PM – WinterFest will kick off Saturday evening at the Hyde Playground on Lincoln St in Newton Highlands with an outdoor Soup Social and Concert
Enjoy delicious free soup from a selection of Newton resturants (O’Hara’s Food & Spirits, Lincoln Street Kitchen, Otake, Grape Leaf, Dining Car, Buttonwood and Dunn Gaherin’s) and served by several Newton notables – Mayor Fuller, Congressman Jake Auchincloss and members of the Newton City Council.
From 6:00-7:30 pm keep warm by dancing to live music performances by The Porch Rockers preceded by Newton North High School Melocotones at the Hyde Bandstand. To make shopping local even easier, we have partnered with All Over Newton to shop at participating businesses online at their LoveFEST webpage. You can pick up your gifts at WinterFEST just in time for Valentine’s Day.

Thanks for posting Jerry! The weather looks fantastic for a weekend of wintery family fun at #NewtonWinterFEST ! All events are outdoors. We hope to see you there! Stop over on Saturday night at the Hyde Playground 6-8 PM, Cold Springs Park 10:00 AM and the Newton Centre village green 12-5:00 PM. A huge thanks to our sponsors, partners and volunteers.
Yup, it’s a LoveFEST to shower all of Newton’s small businesses with ♥ this Valentine’s Day! You can see many of Newton’s fave indie businesses on http://www.allovernewton.com/lovefest. There you can peruse and purchase Valentine’s Day gifts from shops all over Newton, with many businesses offering pick up at WinterFEST–where you can do even more shopping in Newton Centre, and take in the lights and sounds of the winter festival (not to mention all the hot chocolate you can handle…)
Not all of Newton’s small retail businesses are participating in LoveFEST, but don’t let that stop you from patronizing them directly! ♥SHOPPING TIP♥: you may just want to visit the LoveFEST site first to take advantage of specials and discount codes that you’ll only find there. Let the Valentine’s Day shopping begin!
Fantastic
What sound does a moose make? Asking for a friend.

Sounds good. Thanks for posting, Jerry!
