This from today’s mayor newsletter …

We’re excited to have vaccine clinics for our 5- to 11-year-olds this weekend. The 960 appointment slots filled up in two hours.

Can you volunteer this weekend so we can extend the hours?

With more volunteers helping to check in children and their caregivers, usher them to the vaccination stations, administer vaccines and help make second appointments, we can extend the hours of the two clinics this Saturday, Nov. 13 and Sunday, Nov. 14 until 5:00 p.m. at Oak Hill Middle School and Newton North High School.

Interested? Get more information and sign-up here. We need both clinical and administrative volunteers.

We’re also looking for volunteers for afterschool pediatric vaccine clinics which are now in the planning stages.

The pediatric COVID-19 vaccine clinics are being organized by our Health and Human Services Department in partnership with the Newton Public Schools. Huge thanks go once again to the Holtzman Medical Group for running the clinics.

Check newtonma.gov/vaccines for more information and to sign up if the clinic hours are extended.
