When reading Village14 on my laptop, it puts up a series of links to seemingly random previous Village14 posts along the right side of the screen. Today I spotted a very old one called What’s a Spa? that I wrote way back in 2014. If you click on it, it brings up the post and says that it was written by Chuck Tanowitz.
This is a known problem that happened a few years ago. The bylines on some number of old Village14 got their wires crossed. So maybe 10-20% of old posts that I wrote are now attributed to Chuck Tanowitz. Similar crossed wires happened with other pairs of people too.
This is all just background info for some advice I’d like to give Village14 readers. If you ever read anything that I write that infuriates you, or irritates you, or you think is just plain stupid please blame it on Chuck. That’s what I do.
Either that or Chuck is engaging in one of the least profitable identity theft schemes ever devised.
Has anyone ever seen Chuck & Jerry at the same place & time?
Wow, Nathan, now that you mention it . . . .
I haven’t but that’s more of an aesthetic decision (ducks)
I could be wrong, but I suspect they were both at the V14 meetup we had at some point. Was that a few years ago already?
What do you mean “meetup” Bryan? Like people getting together in the same place? Why wouldn’t they just stay home and Zoom?
Jerry is far too nice a guy to be mistaken for me.
Are you saying they may be a reason why I am so confused?
@Mick Ciolino – Yes, I think so. I have many alter egos, Chuck is just one one them. It keeps everyone very confused.
