NNHS’s Mr Fabrizio could use some help

Over the last weekend of February 2021, NNHS reported that Mr. Fabrizio, an instructor in World Languages, lost his home to a fire. Funds are being raised to support Mr. Fabrizio during this difficult time.

    In addition to being a Spanish teacher, Dan Fabrizio is active in the NNHS theatre program. A really good guy who deserves our support

    Are gifts over $50 permitted for teachers in Mass? Im pretty sure it is an ethics violation. We gave the middle teacher a $100 dunkins card a few yrs back and she/her returned to us with note explaining why. Next day I went and bought her/she $50 card.

    @Ken Laird – I’m no lawyer but I’d be pretty certain that this is a very different legal scenario. A community rallying around someone who’s house burned down is quite different then a parent giving an expensive gift to their child’s teacher.

    If there was an issue (and I don’t think there is) I would assume it would only apply if he was your child’s teacher this year.
