Here ye, here ye, all ye Congressional Candidates! Village14 formally invites you to submit a Guest Post to be displayed on Village 14 (at our discretion).
You can write a novel if you must, but I recommend short and interesting if you want it to make a splash. Please also submit a head shot. The deadline for submissions is August 14th.
We will publish them as they come in, first come first serve. Can’t wait to read them!
@Bryan Barash: What do you mean when you say you will publish candidates’ writings “at our discretion”? What kind of invitation is it if you’re reserving the right to shut the door?
@Michael – to clarify – everyone will get one post and it will be posted. When we post it and in what order is at our discretion.
Bryan…who is we? And why not in order received? Transparency, please!
Besides this announcement, is anyone reaching out to each of the candidates individually to inform them of this invitation, on the off chance that some — or all — of them might not be spending time browsing V14 in the last month before their crucial primary?
@Bruce – yup I reached out to all of the campaigns directly. They all know.
@Sallee – we is the moderators of v14. This is the same policy we have had in the past, as I understand it.
Now Leckey, Grossman and Mermell are missing from the photograph.
@Michael – the issue is technical in nature. The full picture (both pictures) includes all candidates but I’m having trouble getting it to display in the featured image spot on the front page.
@Bryan, I understand. Apparently Amy Sangiolo knows how to fix it. Thank you.
Bryan, you mean “Hear ye!” Not “Here ye!” “Hear” in this instance is an imperative verb, meaning “listen.” Anyway, thank you for letting us know about the guest posts.
@Bryan, you mean to say “Hear ye, hear ye,” not “ Here ye, here ye.” The word “hear” in this expression is an imperative verb, meaning “listen,” whereas the word “here” is an adverb, meaning, “at or in this place.”
Anyway, thank you for inviting the candidates to submit guest posts.
