With all that is going on locally- Newton’s public schools will be closed through next Friday and possibly longer- this story will not arouse much emotion. I for one, however, will miss Modell’s, a store that provided me with countless cans of tennis balls, lots of jeans, swimming goggles, exercise rollers, stretch bands, hoodies, Patriot caps, water bottles, and other such bric a brac.
Believe it or not, I still prefer to shop in person at outlets, not online. Given the Covid 19 virus, alas, I might be dragged kicking and screaming into the 21st Century lifestyle like the rest of you!
