Our bits are getting old and worn and it’s time for some scheduled maintenance to make sure we don’t blow a server gasket or throw a rod.
Sometime early Sunday morning, Village 14 may be shut down for roughly an hour. Our 10 year old, continuously running server will be shut done, refurbished, and started back up again.
Many thanks to Jon Shubow, our behind-the-scenes system administrator who keeps Village 14 humming day to day, re-starts it when the battery is dead, and tows it back to the shop for repairs when it crashes.
With 3,012 images, 5,338 posts, and 76,704 comments my fingers are crossed.
Looks like everything went swell and we are now on the new server, hopefully the performance will be better and we won’t have as many outages.
Thanks for waiting.
If you have any issues, email [email protected] that will create a ticket for us.

How much does it cost to run V – 14 and who pays for it?
SERPCOM provides website design and development services as well as high-volume website hosting at no direct cost to V14.
However, in lieu of payment SERPCOM receives the ad revenue from the site. Please note that the monthly revenue received, on average, is less that what SERPCOM would receive for similar services provided. Therefore V14 operates at a loss to SERPCOM.
Jon Shubow who has a long relationship with V14 and founded SERPCOM in 2016. Prior to SERPCOM Jon provided services to V14 on his own.
