Marvin Pave wrote a wonderful tribute in Sunday Globe to Linda Plaut, which mentions plans to rename the Newton Festival of the Arts i her honor and “tentative plans for a public celebration of her life to be held this spring.”

The article also includes this perfect quote attributed to Plaut following the 1988 Newton tricentennial..

… “the price for privacy in too many suburbs is loneliness, apathy, disenfranchisement. People feel connected in Newton because they give to the city. That is what we are celebrating here.”
