I’m putting this on as a separate post because I only discovered the service information for Peg an hour ago. There was no mention on the on line Globe death notices.

I’m sorry I missed it….I really liked her.
It was a wonderful “sendoff” for Peg that was highlighted with a warm and gracious eulogy by Setti Warren and a moving graveyard ceremony where Peg’s daughter played a recording of “Fields of Athenry” one of Peg’s favorite Irish songs. Joanne and I will be buried right across the street from Peg at Holyhood Cemetery in Brookline which is just a stones throw from where Joe and Rose Kennedy and members of their family are buried. Our neighbors there also include three former Democratic governors, Maurice Tobin, Paul Dever and Foster Furcolo, a former Democratic U.S. Senator, David I. Walsh, several state and federal judges, and probably a half dozen or so Democratic State reps and senators. Peg and I often joked that the first of us to Holyhood would be charged with organizing the Holyhood Democratic Committee to get some extra Democratic votes into the count on election night. I half suspect that Peg has already set up a date for the first meeting.
