Everyone is invited this Friday at 7:30 PM to the Concert for Venzuela at the beautiful First Baptist Church in Newton Centre.
The concert is the brainchild of Maria Beatriz Arvelo who brought us the Newton Street pianos. She has rounded up 30 world class musicians for a wonderful musical evening in support of the unfolding humanitarian crisis in her native Venezuela
It will be a wonderful program spanning classical, jazz and Venezuelan music featuring virtuoso violinist James Buswell, pianist Leo Blanco, children from the Boston String Academy, and many more.
There are no tickets, and admission is free. Voluntary donations are requested at the door. All funds collected will be donated to a non profit Cardiology Institute in Barquisimeto, Venezuela who provide medical services to the people of the shattered country.
