It’s official, Newton will have it’s own Porchfest this year in Auburndale.  It will be a day of free live music of every kinds on porches, lawns, driveways, and parks all over Auburndale.  I can’t wait!

At this point they are raising the money to help out with promotion, etc.  If you’d like to fill Newton streets with live music consider giving them a donation here.  In March they’ll begin signing up musicians and homeowners to host them.

Hat’s off to the organizers.  It’s a great idea and hopefully the start of a new annual  Newton tradition that will start in Auburndale and spread to the rest of the city.
