The Fall Cleanout Swap Day is this Sat, Sept 23 at the Rumford Ave dump transfer station Recycling Depot from 8 AM – 2 PM.
If you have usable but unwanted stuff filling up your house bring it down before noon. If you’re looking to pick up stuff – come anytime from 8 – 2 PM. You’ll be amazed at some of the stuff that will be tossed out on Saturday.
This should be the last swap day as we move towards a permanent swap shop facility as Wellesley does. We look forward to working with the new mayor in exploring waste reduction (a zero waste format) and the potential in sustainable materials . Reduction in the inclusive waste tax might also be a pathway to further explore undervalued private/public ecommerce.
As a society, we can no longer tolerate gender-bias in old adages. The PC police will be contacting Jerry for the government sponsored re-education program. Meanwhile, just to save everyone on V-14 further embarrassment, someone needs to change that headline to “one PERSON’S trash…”
@mike striar – they’re already beating down my door.
Thanks for posting this, Jerry. We dropped off a full SUV-load of someone else’s treasures. They were looking for support to possibly doing it weekly, like other towns (Wellesley does it, I believe). Monthly may be a better starter plan.
