Thanks also to NewTV for sharing this video from the Governor’s Council debate between the three Democratic party candidates. The primary will be held on Thursday Sept. 8 between incumbent Marilyn Petitto Devaney and challengers Peter Georgiou and William Bishop Humphrey.

Devaney first looked asleep and then stumbled to remember whether she should answer a question or do a rebuttal. I did get a kick out of her talking about appointees having the proper background. Guess that only applies to appointees. She did say our mayor gave her an endorsement. Did he? Can someone find out?
So Georgiou is “the most progressive candidate.” Good to know.
Bill Humphrey presented himself quite well. Vote for Bill on September 8.
The format didn’t really allow candidates to elaborate on the question of endorsements (and I am really looking forward to hearing whether our mayor has indeed endorsed Ms Devaney – either a yes or a no on that question would prove enlightening) – but I am impressed with Bill’s endorsements from Progressive Democrats of Massachusetts & NARAL Pro-Choice Mass. In addition, Rep. Tom Stanley (the state rep for Georgiou’s hometown of Lincoln) chose to endorse Bill in this race – make of that what you will.
