City Council meetings are not the only drama that unfolds at Newton’s City Hall.
This weekend the month+ long Newton Festival of the Arts winds up with a production of Oscar Wilde’s rollicking comedy The Importance of Being Earnest by the Newton Theater Company at City Hall (Fri 6/3, Sat 6/4). The following week it moves to Gregorian Rugs for two more shows (Fri 6/10, Sat 6/11).
All show at 7:30 PM, tickets $20, $15 for seniors and students

Our Newton Nomadic Theater just did it’s last performance of A Picasso this past Sunday. Our own Linda Goetz is jumping right from there to this production with the Newton Theater Company this weekend.
