“In a rare move of solidarity and in order to protest the distasteful suggestion being debated by the Charter Review Commission that the Newton City Council be reduced in size, the full complement of 24 Newton City Councilors voted unanimously today to attend all of their Council meetings between Monday, April 4, 2016 and the determining vote by the Newton electorate in 2017 on any new Charter Review Commission document, by going commando. Mayor Setti Warren, City Clerk David Olson, Rick Medlin, CEO – Fruit of the Loom, Les Wexner – CEO Victoria’s Secret, and Newton City Council President Scott Lennon were unavailable for comment.”
