Waban welcomes the new kid on the block! We are pleased to have noticed the “soft” opening this week of the new Waban Hardware Store. The doors opened for business without fanfare this past Monday. The new business occupies two floors and is organized with all the basics you would expect of a good hardware purveyor. From fasteners of all kinds, to kitchen utensils, to gardening needs, to friendly staff that will help customers find what they need, this business is well-organized and ready to jump into the Waban community. Trish, one of the new owners, gave me a tour of the two floors of merchandise and said that they would be having a “Grand Opening” with balloons and festivities in April.
Waban Hardware, we’re very glad to have you in the neighborhood! I almost forgot this great news: Waban Hardware will be open seven days a week. Although Sunday hours are not yet firmly set, they will probably be something like 10am-4pm.
