Really happy with the results with very little campaigning.
Hopefully, i’ll be back with a much more intensive campaign in two years!
Best,
Cyrus
Heartfelt congratulations to Steve, Margaret, David, Rick and Allison. It’s nice to know you will be returning to continue your work, and thanks to each of you for your willingness to serve Newton.
@Cyrus:
Maybe you could switch wards and knock off one of the less effective members of the SC. That would help.
Or campaign for charter reform to get two voting students added to the SC.
@Geoff
If one of Newton’s millionaires wants to give me a house (i’ll accept a condo :) ), in another Ward, i’ll make the switch.
If I am back in two years and the race in contested, I will knock on every door in Newton (I knocked on almost none), I’ll order hundreds of signs (I ordered none). I will get a least a couple student interns and village liaisons (I had none).
To think I got 21.24% of the vote (and 36.4% in Nonantum 1/4) is a great success. If I come back in two years, it will be 10x the campaign I ran this time. Viva the students.
Congratulations to all the winners, especially my friend Margaret Albright, the top vote getter in the City!
